Wood construction: Innovaholz
The monolithic single-family house made of wood sees itself as an attempt to question, break open and rethink the conventional. The narrow upward striving building form is plain and simple, but shapes the characteristic appearance of the building.
The components in contact with the ground are made of concrete, the walls of 28 cm cross laminated timber, visible inside and outside without additional thermal insulation. The walls extend from the bottom to the roof without joints, the outermost layer was made of larch wood. The construction cost of the walls was about 5% lower than with insulation + wooden facade. The house technology is reduced - a large wood stove serves as heating, a small heat pump was installed as a backup system, but it is rarely used.
