Eichstätt Service Centre

The district of Eichstätt has had three interconnected buildings constructed on a plot of land where the vocational school workshops used to be. There is space for six departments with 135 employees of the Eichstätt district office. Only RC concrete will be used in the service centre - far exceeding the current standard, which only stipulates a proportion of 30 percent recycled material. The newly developed product variant consists of 100 per cent demolition material. The material comes from demolished buildings. As part of a project coordination with the Munich University of Applied Sciences, it received a so-called ‘approval in individual cases’ in good time for the start of construction. The material is processed regionally in a concrete plant in Eichstätt.
