The gentle low-tech revitalization transformed the inhospitable old stock into comfortable, contemporary living space in the middle of Hallein's historic old town. The conversion demonstrates what minor renovation measures can achieve. For the heating system, the master builder opted for component activation with heat from electricity. Copper pipes were laid on the inside of the walls and around the windows, through which hot water flows. Above this, three layers of lime plaster. A technically very simple, cost-effective measure, especially if new plastering is to be done anyway. A decision that works - with surprisingly low heating costs and a pleasant room climate. Since the renovation, mold is a thing of the past, and the walls remain dry.
