1.500 m²
A total of around 1,500 m³ of concrete was processed as part of the construction project, with an average recycling rate of 15 to 20 percent depending on the concrete quality. As a result, a total of around 150 tons of recycled material was reused as a substitute for the primary raw material and recycled. The concrete quality was subject to strict monitoring and continuous testing both during installation and directly on the finished structure. For the construction company working on site, there was no difference in working with recycled concrete compared to conventional concrete, only a longer lead time had to be taken into account when planning the materials.
The building has spacious social and sanitary facilities for 250 employees, offices, meeting rooms, checkrooms, drying rooms as well as technical and ancillary rooms. Hot water is supplied by using thermal groundwater as a heat source in combination with a heat pump. The building is powered by a PV system on the flat roof with an output of 15 kWp. Twelve e-charging stations, each with 22 kW, for company vehicles and a large green façade on the east and south façades complete the building's sustainability concept.
